The Fab Five were fantastic!
February 2024 | Litter
Born on February 23, 2024 - Ellie welcomed her second litter into the world. Our "B" litter included three males, Brewster, Barkley, and Bingo, and two females, Barbie and Beulah. Similar to her first litter, Ellie went into labor around 11:00 p.m. at night and welcomed her babies into the world throughout the evening with the last being born around 5:00 a.m. She is a natural mother and tends lovingly towards her puppies - at least until they get their teeth!
In their first few weeks, they slept and ate like it was their full time job. Luckily, they had a beautiful spot at the front of our home where with lots of natural light in order to enjoy their days bonding with their mom and siblings. Each grew quickly amassing about .1/3 of a pound day. Around day 15, their little eyes began to open as their new world came into focus.
At week six, they moved into a set of rolling cribs which allow us to move them inside and outside easily. They also started spending time in an outdoor enclosure so they could roll in the grass, rough house, and feel the sun shining down on them. These are days are the best by far!
Between week 8 and 10, they began to slowly leave our farm one by one and join their forever families. These forever days are both joyful and a little melancholy as our little ones leave the nest. However, the pictures of all of their new adventures we receive in the days after continue to put a smile on our faces. This litter was a special one and we are grateful for the time we had with them.
